Last weekend we had a girls getaway to Maine. Gina, Sable, Raina, Stella and I all jumped in the car for the 51/2 hour drive, which ended up to be more like 9 hours. We met Valerie and baby Anna up there so there were plenty of babies to go around! Thank goodness for our babysitters Matthew and Julia!
One of our very few baby-free moments of the weekend. Tubing...Whoo hoo!!!
"Are you sure you don't have one of these life jackets in pink?"
"Who am I kidding? I can totally pull off the blue."
Move over grandpa, I'll drive the boat.
"Honk. Honk."
"Grandpa, is that really necessary? Can't we just have a civilized discussion?"
Baby feet. Yummy!

One of my favorite snacks!
" Oh Sable, your feet look pretty tasty too. Let me try."
"Absolutely Scrumptious!"
Sable and Stella strolling (well, being strolled) arm and arm.
Sable, just like her parents, is already a work out buff and personal trainer. It's obvious by her ripped quads. She put together a work out routine to help Stella bulk up.

"Give me two more Stella. Nice work!"
Then Lateral raises. "How's my form Sable?"
"Here you go, raise it a little higher. Much better"
"Great work Stella! Your guns already feel bigger!"

"Let's cool down and stretch it out now."
Here's Stella and her beautiful baby cousin Anna back in their chairs. Scroll down to the last pictures they took together like this to see how much they've grown in 2 months. After a long weekend and another 8 hours in the car, we came home to New York just in time to go see the US Open. Stella loved it because she thought everyone was there to watch her, not tennis!

So many things to say. OK, 1st of all, LOVE your narration. It just cracks me up everytime I read one of your posts. Hysterical! Second, the sand castle, very impressive wasn't it? I had no idea that you were the masterminds behind that! I think Stella will have to teach Hannah a thing or two on the beach next year! Third, Holland, Paris and now the US Open? Stella, are your parents looking to adopt a 31 year old big sister for you? That is one heck of a first summer kiddo!
I have to agree with Amy, that is why Sable is allowed to hang out with the DeGeus family anytime. She is getting cultured just be being Stella's friend.
And your narration--I am still laughing out loud and now Sable is laughing at me.
omg - which match were you guys at? i totally went to the men's and women's finals...
by the way, babysitting offer still holds post the beer induced cutefest.
